Quick Facts

  • 7am – 5pm schedule with 24-hour call every three weeks
  • 15 – 20 days per month with clinic coverage 1 – 2 times during call weeks
  • Complex surgical first assist and perioperative care required
  • Open heart surgeries including CABG and valve replacements
  • Inpatient management and ER consultation responsibilities
  • Coordinates interdisciplinary care with medical teams
  • Blocks of availability needed — 2 – 3 months at a time
  • Surgical and medical ICU coverage during call weeks
