Quick Facts

  • 10-hour shifts: 7am – 5pm and 5pm – 7am — 1:3 call ratio
  • 10 – 12 patient encounters per shift
  • Evenly split workload: OR, clinic, hospital rounds, and night shifts
  • Surgical first assist with full hospital unit coverage including NICU and PICU
  • FMLA coverage needed — multiple providers accepted
  • Procedures include craniotomies, spinal fusions, and tumor interventions
  • Independent rounding in critical care and medical/surgical units
  • 20-minute response time required when on call
